This tour is a multi-day itinerary that covers various destinations in Peru, providing travelers with the opportunity to explore and enjoy the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of the country.

ITINERARY

Arrival in Lima

  • Arrival in the city of Lima, assistance, and transfer to the selected hotel. Free time to rest and prepare for your journey through this wonderful country. Accommodation at the selected hotel.

Lima – City Tour

  • After breakfast, a city tour where we will visit the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, passing by the Huaca Pucllana, El Olivar Park in San Isidro, Miraflores Central Park, and Larcomar Shopping Center, where we will have a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Then we will visit Lima’s Historic Center, San Martín Square, Main Square, Government Palace, Cathedral Basilica, Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall, Santo Domingo Church, where the tombs of Santa Rosa and San Martín de Porres are located, and the balconies of Colonial Lima. We will continue with the Convent and Church of San Francisco, the largest monumental complex of Colonial Art in America and a Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Lima / Cusco – City Tour and Surroundings

  • Around 7:50 am, we will pick you up from your hotel. Departure from the city of Cusco towards the natural storehouse of the Incas, as we travel along a portion of the sacred river Vilcanota or Urubamba. This day will allow us to get close to the customs of the local inhabitants.
  • During our journey, we will visit the picturesque colonial mestizo town of Pisac. This town also houses one of the Inca cities that captivates many visitors.
  • Next, we will head to another town for lunch, prepared with local products.
  • Our next site to visit is Ollantaytambo, known as the “living Inca city.” This city was built for administrative purposes and to monitor potential invasions. After exploring this significant center, we will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the town and get a clear idea of its urban layout.
  • To end the day, we will proceed to our accommodation in Ollantaytambo, where you can rest and prepare for the next day’s experience on the sacred path to Machu Picchu.

Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas Connection:

  • Around 7:50 am, pick-up from the hotel. Departure from the city of Cusco towards the natural storehouse of the Incas and along the sacred river, the Vilcanota or Urubamba. This day will allow us to get close to the customs of its inhabitants. During our journey, we will visit the picturesque mestizo colonial town of Pisac. This town also houses one of the Inca cities that captivates many visitors. Next, we head to another town for lunch prepared with local products. Our next site to visit is Ollantaytambo, “the living Inca city.” This city was built for the purpose of administration and surveillance against possible invasions. After finishing our visit to this important site, we will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the town to get a clear idea of its urban layout. Finally, we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station to take the train that will transport us to the town of Machu Picchu. At around 7:00 pm, we will depart on the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Around 8:45 pm, arrival in Machu Picchu – transfer to the hotel. Night in Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes).

Machu Picchu

  • After a good rest in the town of Machu Picchu and receiving instructions from our guide, we will head to the Bus Station, which will take us on a 45-minute journey ascending 400 meters in altitude to the wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. Upon arriving at the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, we will begin our experience with our guide, visiting the most important places such as temples, plazas, astronomical centers, and other sectors for approximately 3 hours. After our exploration of the Inca city, we will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo station, our transfer will be waiting to take us to the city of Cusco. Night in Cusco.

Cusco / Puno

  • Early in the morning, we will depart on a tourist bus heading to the city of Puno (3,860 meters above sea level). During the journey, we will visit the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, where we will visit the San Pedro de Andahuaylillas temple, nicknamed the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its wealth of colonial art and frescoes covering walls, plinths, ceilings, and entrances. Along the way, we will also make a stop at Raqchi, where we will visit the spectacular Inca sanctuary built during the reign of Inca Pachacútec, dedicated to the great Inca god Wiracocha. It has a large central wall with a stone base and other walls made of adobe. In the temple’s surroundings, there are various ancient buildings used as houses or storage areas. We will have a buffet lunch in a peaceful countryside location, where we will delight in regional culinary art. Approximately 70 kilometers ahead, we will pass through the Raya region, where we will see herds of alpacas and llamas typical of the Andean fauna. We will then travel along the Collao Plateau, stopping in the town of Pucara, an important pre-Inca religious center that preserves the best examples of its traditions in a lithic museum. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Puno and transfer you to your hotel. Night in Puno.

Puno – Lake Titicaca

  • Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island (A) Early in the morning, after breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the pier to embark on an unforgettable motorboat excursion on Lake Titicaca. We will visit the Uros Floating Islands, inhabited by Andean natives who build their own islands by periodically adding new layers of totora reeds. They also use this material to construct their houses and boats. We will then continue to Taquile Island, inhabited by Quechua natives who have developed an efficient and original social system, as well as magnificent weaving techniques and artistry, passed down from generation to generation. After having lunch at an inn in Taquile, we will take a walk through its hills and archaeological sites. In the afternoon, we will return to the city of Puno. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Night in Puno.

Puno-Juliaca / Lima

  • After breakfast and at the scheduled time, transfer to Juliaca airport for your flight to Lima. End of our services.
